I heard something this morning while I was watching Joyce Meyer that helped me put the Friday night Lecture into perspective.

She said:

Freedom is when you can say, "You know what? I have been around this mountain 200 times and I don't think that I want to keep making this trip all my life, so therefore, I'm going to change!"

POSITIVE QUOTE OF THE DAY
Self-respect is the root of discipline: The sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself. -- Abraham Joshua Heschel 1907-1972

My current read is The Poet of Tolstoy Park by Sonny Brewer.

Just ran across a good quote, something Henry thought.

"Sometimes the considerate pause before a word, Henry thought, was as important as the word itself."

Is he right or what?! You can hear so much in that pause when you are conversing with other people, and it reminds me that I should probably "pause" a lot more often with my words during conversation.
