Romans 5:1-5
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into
this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of
God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings....and hope does
not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the
Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

This is a very special passage to me. We serve such a mighty God. He is so faithful to hear our prayers and give us strength during times of crises. Jimmy's angel, who some refer to as his neurosurgeon Dr. M., successfully removed a malignant melanoma brain tumor from the frontal lobe of Jimmy's brain today during a four hour operation. It went much better than he expected. The tumor was strongly attached to the speech area of the frontal lobe. It was a great possibility that when Jimmy woke up he would be unable to communicate.

God had other plans. With tears in his eyes, Dr. M. delivered the wonderful news. Jimmy was not only understood commands, but was verbally and physically able to respond to them. He squeezed their hand, held up 2 fingers when told to and told them his name. He knew where he was and what was going on. He was able to speak articulately and extensively. He recalled things from this morning, minor details that I wouldn't even have remembered.

God answered our prayers and has been a source of comfort and hope for us throughout this time.
The doctor, who is an angel in disguise, acknowledged the miracle of God in this.

Please join with me in giving the Lord a hand of praise for my uncle. Please also pray that his recovery during the next 15 days is not as hard as expected (he is expected to digress as his brain begins to swell) and that God will continue to prove Himself faithful as we continue to put our hope in Him.
