I have been taggd by Kim at Homesteaders Heart. Ya'll run over and visit her blog. She cracks me up with her humor, and her gift for encouragement and wisdom is a definite blessing to me.
I'm supposed to list 5 things about these 5 things that are about me. And, then I have to "tag" 5 people. That's a lot of fives!
Here we go.....
The Five Tag

10 Years Ago :

I was recovering from a miscarriage trying again to have a child. I was on massive amounts of infertility drugs. At the end of the year, God said, "Look around you and learn contentment with what you have." So I did.

I worked as a systems analyst.

My bonus daughter was 13 and still an angel.

I didn't know what blogger was.
I had my gallbladder removed.
5 Things on Today's "To-Do" List:
Watch tv
Read my Bible
Blog
Eat a cinnamon roll
Take a nap
I should mention that I have The Cold That Has Gone Down Into My Chest And An Ear Ache as well, so even watching tv is a challenge.
5 Snacks I Enjoy:

M&M's
Yogurt
Bananas
Crackers
Cheese
5 Things I would do If I were a millionaire:
Take care of debt.
Give to charity (probably an orphange)
Buy a second home in the Mountains next to Kim's - you were talking the Smokies, right?
Give the kids our home and build us a new one. (I should build them one, right? Their turn to become millionaires will come! Be patient!)
Go on a serious book-shopping spree.
5 Places I have lived:
Jackson, MS
Mize, MS
Florence, MS
Richland, MS
I know it's only 4, but I can't lie about it!
5 Jobs that I have had (or still have today in some cases)

I worked for the state as a receptionist from age 16 to 18 on contract during the summer, Christmas Holidays and Spring Breaks.
I took a permanent position right out of high school with the Department of Education in Child Nutrition as a Secretary.
I moved to the Bureau of Building for DFA but went back to Child Nutrition as a Super Secretary.
Became a Systems Analyst for Education in their MIS department.
Moved to DFA and did receptionist work (I got burned out as a techie), then hopped up to manage our travel department. I have finally found my niche and know I am where God has called me to be. I have been with the state since October 1, 1989. That's a LONG time!
Okay now I have to tag 5 people. And you play along, too, even if I didn't tag you. I think it's a fun way to get to know each other.
Leave me a comment if you pick up your "tag" before I get back on tonight. I think I'm fixing to go take a nap, ya'll. The Cold is wearing me down. If I haven't seen a comment from ya I'll send you a comment or email letting you know you've been tagged.

Hope you are feeling better!

My husband is preaching tomorrow at a church about an hour and a 1/2 away from here. Pray for him tomorrow as he delivers what God has layed on his heart and to calm his nerves. He hasn't spoken in a while. For safe travel for us.
Thanks for the prayers.

Laurie Ann,

This was fun to read. I think one of my favorite parts of blogging will be getting to know so many other wonderful ladies. I'm so sorry you had to deal with infertility. The Lord teaches us contentment, and it is sometimes a tough pill to swallow, but inhis infinate grace he has reasons for everything. I gather from reading your blog that you are a wonderful and loving bonus mom, aunt and grandma and those are rich blessings!

Hugs,
Susan

PS - I am being lazy and watching TV too and now I am craving a cinnomon roll! : )

Oh you are so sweet to do this even though you're sick. What a mean person that must have been to tag you so insensitively. Oh wait that was me wasn't it lol. I do hope you feel better and I loved your list. And yes my mountain home would be in the smokies and I would love to have you as my neighbor.
Take care of yourself.
Hugs.

Do hope you have a restful day and your cold goes away quickly. I've always heard that rest, water and limiting sugar helps get rid of sickness faster. I saw you were eating a cinnamon roll today. Those are soooooooo yummy! Enjoy but then remember about the limiting sugar if your cold doesn't go away.

I loved hearing your answers to the tag. I love cheese too!:) Probably too much!:)

Love,
Nicole
